The original plan was for the Fort Worth crew to trailer the bikes to Vegas and ride in from there.....in usual fashion everyone but J dropped out. J ended up catching a ride to California with BJ after the BMR, so that left me making the trip by myself.....
I have been to California a few times but have never made the trip by truck. The change in scenery from Texas to California is great. New Mexico....

I finally made it to BJ's place in Ramona at about 2pm on Thursday. After unloading the bike and an "attitude adjustment", J and I headed to the beach to soak up some sunshine. Sunny Mission Beach....

Friday morning, BJ warming up the long bike, burning off fresh paint, and getting ready for a test ride...
Unfortunately the long bike only made it a few blocks from the house. It starting shooting fireballs and generally running like shit. Diagnosis....valves sticking in fresh guides. Fortunately for him he has another Knuckhead waiting in the garage. We grabbed the other bike and headed out for a ride in the foothills. Stopped for an "attitude adjustment", BJ on the phone with Aron giving him shit about valve guides...
